Yoga Nidra Class


Held on the first Thursday each month, at 7:30 pm.
$15.00 (No class cards or memberships for this class.)

This class with Heartsong's senior teacher Jane Anable will gives you the chance to experience a powerful yoga technique for deep rest. Yoga Nidra is sometimes called Beyond the Dreams, Deep Deep Sleep, or The Ocean of Emptiness. It is said that this deep formless sleep in not between Waking and Dreaming, but instead it is beyond both of these realms. As you rest in supported "shavasana" Jane will systematically lead you to the "place" where there is only a deep abiding stillness that is rich with awareness, a space of inspiration, intuition, and compassionate loving kindness.

A description of the benefits of Yoga Nidra:
Yoga nidra is an active meditation practice that eases tension and fatigue in the physical body, and it helps heal the emotional body by relieving depression, anxiety, headaches, cravings, and desires. When done regularly, yoga nidra can deliver a profound sense of joy and well-being. What's most amazing about yoga nidra is that anyone can practice it: It's accessible to all, and it has the power to make your life infinitely better because you are more able to live in the moment, anticipate the world around you, and respond with calm and authenticity.
