These classes are designed to calm and balance the nervous system. Developed to assist those with the challenges of stress, anxiety, and attention through the use of breath, movement, meditation and relaxation. Taught by Heather Monson, who specializes in Mindful Yoga for all ages.

Brain Break for Boys, ages 8 to 12

Brain Break Yoga for Teen/Tween Girls, ages 12-16
Wednesdays, 3:30 to 4:30 pm

Brain Break Yoga for Teens/Tween Girls is a chance for these girls to explore the physical practice of yoga, increasing strength and flexibility but will also include the basic tenants of yogic mindfulness. Students will be exposed to the concepts of non-violence, truthfulness, gratitude, moderation, and the cultivation of compassion and joy. Girls will also work on building self-esteem and confidence through a playful mix of heart-opening poses, journaling and thoughtful discussion, meditation, breath work and gratitude.
