Yoga for Tween and Teen Girls begins


Date: April 27th, 2016.

Time: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Wednesdays, 3:30 to 4:30 pm. New session begins April 27 9 weeks, $90. This introduction to yoga is specifically designed to create a safe space for adolescent girls to explore the practice of yoga. The class will consist of the physical practice of yoga, increasing strength and flexibility but will also include the basic tenants of yogic mindfulness. Students will be exposed to the concepts of non-violence, truthfulness, gratitude, moderation, and the cultivation of compassion and joy. Girls will also work on building self-esteem and confidence through a playful mix of heart-opening poses, journaling and thoughtful discussion, meditation, breath work and gratitude. This class is appropriate for girls ages 12-16.
